Job Fair at ARJ College of Engineering and Technology, Mannargudi
Don Bosco Vazhikaatti, Trichy, in collaboration with ARJ Group of Institutions, organized a job fair on the campus of ARJ College of Engineering and Technology, Mannargudi, aimed at connecting students with employment opportunities. A total of 120 job seekers participated in the event, which featured 13 recruiters from diverse industries. The gathering was formally welcomed by Dr. Venkatesan, Principal of ARJ College. Dr. Jeevagan Ayyanathan, Chairman of ARJ Group of Institutions, addressed the students as the Guest of Honor, encouraging them to commit to their first jobs for at least a year to build professional experience. He also spoke about the challenges and trends in the current labor market.
As the event progressed, Mr. Arumairaj, Senior Placement Coordinator of the Don Bosco Job Placement Network - JPN, introduced the participating companies and explained the job fair process. To streamline registrations and applications, students were guided to register through the Jobs DBI app with the support of Mr. Ebenezer Raja, ensuring every candidate had access to recruiter information and interview opportunities. This digital approach simplified candidate tracking and made the process efficient for both job seekers and employers.
By the end of the day, 80 students had received job offers, many of whom were final year students attending their first-ever recruitment drive. The event provided an excellent opportunity for candidates to interact directly with employers, understand real world expectations, and begin their professional journey with confidence. The job fair successfully bridged the gap between academic training and industry requirements, reinforcing the importance of such collaborative placement efforts.
